Is the best education only for the wealthy?
Education is seen as the main way to be successful and have a flourishing career. Although, the best education is usually only offered to those who can afford it. For those in lower social economic classes, getting the best education can be a struggle. Success is offered to those who can pay for it, and people who are less wealthy or are in poverty are not given these same opportunities as someone who is extremely wealthy. This need for money to be successful is not only important for high school, but for the rest of your life.
To get into a top college, paying for tuition and extra fees is an insane requirement, that the majority of people can not afford. This leaves people in higher economic classes with a chance at a better education and success for the future. Although there is a possibility for people on the lower end of the class spectrum to achieve as much, the opportunity is much lower.
Therefore, if the education system is based on wealth, is everyone given the same opportunity? Has wealth become a barrier to equal education?
The achievement gap is a main problem in the education system and is preventing many individuals from getting the education they deserve because they are not as wealthy or financially successful as others. The same opportunity can only be given if the education system is based on ability instead of money.
I like the topic of your blog, I hadn't realized the extent to which money played a role in education until now because I had always seen education as available to everyone. However, that is a different story in college, only those who have the money can go and not a lot of opportunities are given to those who can't.

DeleteNice job! I totally agree with you about how "good" education is hard to receive and only people with money can afford to get the best of the best. Additionally, I agree about how everyone should receive the same level of education despite their social status. Not everyone can afford to pay for education, so there should be a way to consider education for all.
